Rehearsal for 2008 Winter Session – Saturday,
January 5th
Time: 9:30am
– 11:30am in the CSI Fine Arts Building. Chamber
Ensemble will meet at 9:15am.
Our rehearsal
time is short (only 8 rehearsals before concert day!),
so we need to be extra committed to practicing at
home and being on time to rehearsals, tuned and ready
to play at 9:30 a.m. Our first rehearsal will be on
January 5, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
in the CSI Fine Arts Building for the full orchestra.

The
Chamber Ensemble will meet at 9:15 a.m. that same
day. Please bring pencils with you. If you
would like to pick up your folder before rehearsal,
please contact Kathy Harris. (Chamber Ensemble members,
please bring your folders with you.)
This concert will include “Die
Meistersinger” by Wagner, “Largo from
the New World Symphony” by Dvorak, “Norwegian
Dances” by Grieg, and more. We will also finish
learning and perform “Chronicles of Narnia.”
The fee for this session is $15.00 and can be paid
at our first rehearsal. New members are always welcome
but please ask them to contact me before our first
rehearsal.
Attendance at rehearsals is most
important so please check your schedules. If you are
going to miss a rehearsal during this 8 week session,
please bring those dates with you to the first rehearsal
so we can plan our rehearsals accordingly. Please
do not plan to rehearse with us if you know you will
not be here for the concert.

Board Members Needed
We are currently restructuring the Magic Valley Youth
Orchestra board, and invite anyone interested, (parents,
teachers, students and friends) to get involved. Enclosed
is a list of opportunities to help. We particularly
need a volunteer to serve as treasurer. Please consider
the list and indicate if you can help us in any way.
