The Magic Valley Symphony highlights outstanding youth musicians in a concerto competition for young artists held in even-numbered years.
Contestants audition in June with a 6- to10-minute standard repertoire piece with published orchestral accompaniment. Winners receive a generous scholarship and may be invited to perform with the Symphony at the October concert.

three winners were selected from 17 contestants. All three will repeat their winning performances with the Symphony

The 2008 competition was a great success. Three contestants were awarded the first-place prize, scholarships, and an invitation to perform with the Symphony.
