The Magic Valley Symphony highlights outstanding youth musicians in our concerto competition for young artists held in even-numbered years.
Contestants audition in June with a 6- to10-minute standard repertoire piece with published orchestral accompaniment. Winners receive a generous scholarship and may be invited to perform with the Symphony at the October concert.

The 2008 competition was a great success. Three contestants were awarded the first-place prize and scholarships of $1,000.
